Lately, I’ve been putting a lot of time into building my portfolio website called Mike Achen Visuals. This has honestly been one of the most frustrating but rewarding projects so far. Web design is definitely outside my comfort zone compared to photography and branding work. I decided to build the site using WordPress with a generic portfolio-styled theme. At first, it felt confusing trying to understand sections, containers, spacing, and responsive layouts, but little by little, it’s starting to click. The site will eventually showcase my photography, branding work, blog posts, digital magazine projects, and school portfolio pieces. I want it to feel modern, clean, and creative without looking overly complicated.
