Learning to Accept Feedback as a Designer

One of the hardest parts of design school has honestly been receiving critique. When you spend hours building something creatively, it’s easy to take feedback personally. But I’m slowly learning that critique isn’t meant to tear your work apart; it’s meant to improve it. Some of my strongest projects became stronger specifically because I went back and refined them after feedback. I’ve also realized that professional designers constantly revise things. Rarely does the first version become the final version. That mindset shift has helped me grow a lot creatively over the last several weeks.
